Day 29

Day 29
I have completed 4 weeks of recovery (phase one), and hooray, no adjustments today, and even better, no charge! My pelvis is loose and moving nicely, and I have had no painkillers at all this week!! Double whammy!

I have passed the acute stage, and actually I do feel as if I’ve turned a corner. I am still cautious of overdoing things, but I do seem more able to lift slightly more and stand for a little longer. I have also updated the recovery plan to add phase two (weeks 5-8).

A couple of strange things happened this week. I was online training all day on Tuesday and Wednesday and out of 13 participants, 3 of us had spinal fractures!! I didn’t realise it was that common! It gave me hope, that the other two had worse fractures (I’m sorry to say), but seemed to be managing well. They were a lot younger than me, and had suffered their injuries several weeks before me, but they were in a much better place now.

Back to this evening, I was looking forward to going for a meal, and the theatre again (we go a lot), with my sisters and daughter. Unfortunately, just before we left, one of my sisters (who is my taxi driver at the moment), fell flat on the floor and badly sprained her ankle! We managed the evening, with help from the others, but it was off to A&E for her in the morning. I hope she’s ok.
