Day 31 & 37

Day 31
Back to the Theatre-3rd visit already! The last 2 visits I’ve taken a cushion, but not tonight, I managed without it. You won’t believe it! My back was ok but as I stood to let someone past, I jammed my legs between the seats and twisted my knee! I’ve done this before (torn Meniscus) and it is PAINFUL. Just when things seem a little better, I’m out of action again!

I managed that evening but the next morning my knee had swollen, and I could hardly put weight on it. Well, I didn’t see this coming 😒, what a pain, literally. So back to ice packs it was. Luckily, between resting my leg, packing it with ice, and gentle exercise, I was back on my feet in 3 days, which was amazing given the circumstances.

Had to take a couple of sneaky Ibuprofen for that, but nothing stronger, and kept up the daily stretches.

Day 37
1st day back to driving!! And shopping (with help), and it felt so good!! Drove to the Chiropractor myself today, and it was ok. A couple of adjustments to my pelvis and knee and I was on my way in 10 minutes.

I just need to build more confidence to drive further afield. It’s surprising how nervous you feel when you haven’t driven for 6 or 7 weeks. I’ve been contained to the house for so long, and all of a sudden, sensory overload!

I even went shopping after that, luckily my son was with me so he could lift and carry the bags, but it’s a start! #
I’m starting to feel human again, and it’s great to see faces instead of screens and walls.
