Our Story

What Drives Us
Over the years, we've consistently observed that people, regardless of their backgrounds, often face similar challenges—whether due to illness, grief, unemployment, or sudden life changes. These challenges commonly lead to a lack of motivation, diminished self-worth, and feelings of helplessness. This emotional turmoil often spirals into anxiety, depression, and chronic illnesses.

Despite access to various services, many individuals struggle to benefit from them. The reason is simple: those who feel completely overwhelmed, dysregulated and undervalued find it hard to engage.
Bridging the Gap
We meet them where they are on their journey. We spend time getting to know individual needs and explore strategies that fit with their present lifestyle. We encourage people to slightly step out of their comfort zone to explore new experiences, but not so far that they experience anxiety. This bridges the gap between failure and success.
Our Proactive Approach
While acute Medication can be helpful, it can also lead to long-term dependency. We believe that knowledge is empowering as it builds self-efficacy. By understanding how the central nervous system works, and discovering our unique ways of regulating it, help’s us to shift our perspective, to make more informed healthier choices.
Beverley Williams

Hi, I’m Bev – and this is a little bit about my journey.

I’ve spent over two decades walking alongside individuals and families through some of their most challenging — and meaningful — moments. My roots are in Adult and Children’s Services, and I held a pivotal team lead role at Ysgol Y Deri School with the NHS. These years shaped not only my clinical skills but also my deep belief in compassionate, holistic support.

In 2018, I took a leap into private practice as an Occupational Therapist and Case Manager. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children who’ve experienced brain injuries, trauma, or sensory processing differences — and with the families who love and care for them.

My practice now centres on Sensory Integration and Sensory Attachment Intervention. I assess, support, and advocate for children who are navigating complex challenges, especially those rooted in early adversity. It’s work that’s both deeply clinical and deeply human — and it never stops inspiring me.

Alongside this, I hold qualifications as a Reiki Master/Teacher and Crystal Therapist. While I no longer offer individual treatments due to time (and a full calendar!), I still love teaching Reiki and leading holistic workshops when I can — blending science with soul and sharing tools that nourish wellbeing on every level.

All of these experiences led me to co-create Mind In2 Action with my friend and colleague, Kelly Lewis. We’ve developed a practical, evidence-based 8-week programme that brings together the best of Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and holistic wellbeing. It’s built from everything we’ve seen, learned, and felt over the years — designed to meet the real-world needs of the families and professionals we support.

Thanks for being here — I’m so glad our paths have crossed.
Kelly Lewis
Hi I’m Kelly, this is a little bit about me, and why I’m here.

I’ve always been drawn to people—especially those facing challenges that many others overlook. My career began in schools and respite services, supporting children with additional needs and families navigating really tough circumstances. That early experience taught me so much about resilience, relationships, and the power of simply showing up for someone.

Eventually, I found my way into Children’s Services, where I worked closely with children with disabilities and their parents—many of whom were dealing with behaviours that felt overwhelming and isolating. It was intense, rewarding, and it deepened my belief that behind every behaviour is a story waiting to be heard.

Around this time, I met Bev—someone who would go on to become both a friend and co-creator in something very close to my heart. I also completed my Psychology (Hons) degree, balancing study with work and parenting (and plenty of late nights!)

After ten years, I took a leap into a new project in the housing sector, commissioned by POBL. My role was to support families facing all kinds of hardship—abusive relationships, poor mental health, and the weight of just trying to survive day-to-day. It was in this space that I started connecting with other powerful organisations like the ACES Hub, Gwent Community Psychology, Save the Children, and The Carnegie Trust. I also contributed to The Book of Strength, a collaborative resource that still feels like one of the most meaningful projects I’ve been part of.

Then came a restructuring, and a new opportunity: working as a wellbeing facilitator for vulnerable tenants. My focus was holistic wellbeing—helping people stay in their homes and rebuild their lives. It was tough, emotional work, but it honed my trauma-informed approach and strengthened my belief that no one is beyond support.

For the past two years, I’ve worked at Phoenix Domestic Abuse Service as a Child and Young Person Recovery Officer, offering therapeutic support to children affected by domestic abuse. The stories I’ve heard, the strength I’ve witnessed—it’s been both heartbreaking and humbling.

Throughout all these roles, certain themes kept showing up:
💥 Trauma is everywhere, and often goes unrecognised.
🌱 Holistic support is powerful, but too rare.
🧠Mindset matters more than we realise.
📚 People often just need tools, knowledge, and the right kind of support to create real change.

That’s why Bev and I co-founded Mind In2 Action. We wanted to take everything we’d learned—personally and professionally—and turn it into something that could truly help people. Not just manage, but thrive. Our work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that transformation is possible for everyone.

I’ve seen time and time again how even the smallest shift in mindset can spark real change. And I know, deep down, that when people feel seen, supported, and empowered, everything begins to shift.

Thanks for being here and reading a little about my journey., I hope it resonates with you in some way.
