Day 22

Thursday 09.10.25
Day 22

This week has had some ups and downs but mainly ups. Some days are better than others, but overall, I am doing ok. Although I am keeping positive, there are days when I get frustrated that I still can’t drive, and be totally independent. Sometimes, it can get like Groundhog Day!

So off I went to the chiropractor again, and was in and out in 15mins. I only needed one pelvic adjustment, which didn’t hurt a bit. She gave me more stretches to do and advised walking for 20mins between 3 & 5 times per week. I needed to do some weight bearing exercise to help with bone density and walking is the best thing!

I have started getting out a bit more too- a visit to the Theatre went well- I had to take my own cushion and get dropped right outside (thankyou friend, you know who you are), but all was well. On the whole, I find that most people are very accommodating and kind, so it did surprise me when I came across reluctance to help.

Our seats were in the middle of a row, and I was really cautious of having to squeeze past people to get to them. My friend explained the reason for me not wanting to be a sandwich, and most people were happy to leave their seats, so that I could get past without fear. Apart from the 2 lovely people right next to us who had limited awareness, and could not understand why I couldn’t get past easily, without them having to move. They were more concerned about me being careful not to step on their feet 😊.
