Day 56

Thursday 13.11.25
Day 56 (week 8)

Here we are at the last phase! As you can see on the video (our Facebook page), I’m out and about this morning, on this lovely autumn day! The colours are just magical!

I feel slightly better than last week, but starting to get more confident in walking further distances and on uneven ground etc. I can’t wait to get back to the forest and organise some forest bathing sessions.

I did intend to update my recovery plan for the last phase, but I don’t feel this is necessary now. I just need to get back to my normal routines, and I’ve done some of that already. The main thing is to always show up for meditation and yoga first thing in the morning as this sets me up for the day. Even if it’s only for a few minutes, we need to hold ourselves accountable for our own well-being. Once I am able to attend my yin yoga, Tai Chi and line dancing classes, I know I’m back to normal, and I’m sure I’ll be able to do that before Christmas.

I still find lifting anything heavy is a struggle and also bending down to pick things up off the floor, but I’m sure this will improve with time.

Talking about time, I’ve been told by others who have been in a similar position, to stop rushing the healing process. Give your body and mind time to heal, and be gentle with yourself.

This has been an incredible journey of healing, self-growth and opportunity. It has made me extremely thankful for all the new people I’ve met along the way; for having time to appreciate what I have and for those closest to me; for the new slowness of pace; and the opportunity to change direction and focus on new and exciting projects; but most of all, for permission to do what brings me joy.

Take care of yourselves, appreciate that you are enough, and remember to always look for those silver linings!!

May you find peace, love and laughter, through your own healing journeys.
