Day 5

Monday 22.09.25
Day 5

8.30 I Rang for a G.P appointment: The only appointment they had was 9.10, so had to ring around quickly to see who could take me at short notice, so thanks to my lovely friend for that. Still walking very slowly and painfully. Mmmm, G.P. Thought it was soft tissue damage and didn’t mention an X-ray until I asked for it. Referral made for anytime this week. More pain relief meds prescribed but not Diazepam. I did need to take a couple, but was also on the herbal teas. 😏👌

I got an offer of a lift from my lovely niece that afternoon to get an X-ray, brill, I could get some answers! Well, that was hilarious! She insisted on pushing me in a wheelchair, found in the foyer, and I felt every bump as she pushed me as quickly as she could to X-ray. Fair play, I was straight in and out, but here’s funny part – my husband’s ex booked me in, and as I was going in for the X-ray, my mother-in-law was hobbling out! She had a fall a few days before, so my niece had 2 invalids to take home. I should have been the one looking after her, but now I couldn’t.

So, I have the x-ray, but why oh why do some people who work in the medical profession have no people skills! Surely kindness, compassion and empathy should be an essential part of the training? It was on my course! No help to get onto the plinth, nor to lie down flat, which was the most painful position for me. Then being prodded into position, without a warning and with little gentleness. God knows how my 89-year-old mother-in-law managed. 😒

Now, 10 days to wait for the results! What!
