Join us for a unique outdoor experience where children and their parents can spend the day exploring nature through carefully planned sensory activities that are designed to support emotional wellbeing, self-regulation and confidence.
The Old Mountain Stables Holidays
(Parents/carers free)
Unlike many children's events that leave youngsters excited and exhausted, this day has been created to help children feel calm, connected and regulated by the time they head home.
Using our trauma-informed and sensory-informed approach, every activity has a purpose. Through movement, rhythm, nature, sound and play, children will have opportunities to explore their senses, build body awareness and enjoy quality time with their parent or carer.
During the day you'll experience:
• Sensory Circuits to prepare the body and brain for the day ahead and to promote motor and organisation skills.
• A guided Nature Walk, encouraging curiosity, mindfulness and connection with the natural world.
• Alpaca Walking and Grooming, providing a calming tactile sensory experience while learning about these gentle animals.
• Calm Kids Yoga and gentle regulating stretches to help children tune into their bodies, promoting mind body connection.
• Sound Play, allowing children to explore different instruments and vibrations.
• A magical Sensory Story in the Hobbit Hut to promote social interaction, turn taking and creativity.
• A relaxing Mini Sound Bath at the end of the day to encourage deep relaxation and nervous system regulation.
• Our Base Tent will remain open throughout the day as a sensory and free play space, providing a quieter area whenever children need a break between activities, or where younger children can be easily supervised by their loved ones.

"A day designed to fill your child's sensory cup—not empty it."
